Megan Thee Stallion Day

On May 1, 2022 Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner honored Megan Thee Stallion for her humanitarian efforts with the Key to the City and a Proclamation proclaiming May 2 at Megan Thee Stallion Day. She also met the first grant recipients of the Pete & Thomas Foundation. As a way to celebrate this special day, the Pete & Thomas Foundation encourages Hotties to uplift, give back, and volunteer in their community.

This recognition, along with the key to the city, was awarded to Megan in celebration of her philanthropic efforts, including her dedication to education, mental health awareness, and disaster relief initiatives through the Pete & Thomas Foundation.

Mother’s Day Care Packages

In celebration of the third annual Megan Thee Stallion Day on May 2 2024, the Pete & Thomas Foundation hosted several community service activities in Houston to strengthen our community and foster volunteer engagement. We partnered with Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse (AVDA) where 23 Hotties assembled 500 care packages to be distributed for Mother’s Day at several nonprofit organizations that support survivors of domestic violence, single mothers and unhoused families.

Literacy Room & Studio Room Renovation

At the Youth Education Town (YET) Community Center (located in the historic Fifth Ward), we were able to provide new books and journals as well as podcast and studio equipment. The YET Community Center annually serves 1500 children, youth and families. Over 50 Hotties volunteered to help renovate the Literacy and Studio rooms and unveil the upgraded space to youths in the community!
