Community Goodwill
Thanksgiving
We partnered with the Montrose Center as the Presenting Supporter to join the celebration at the annual Transgender Thanksgiving party and provide 200+ members and staff a warm Thanksgiving dinner. The Montrose Center empowers our community—primarily lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) individuals and their families—to live healthier, more fulfilling lives.
In 2025, the Pete & Thomas Foundation were honored to serve over 1,200 households with nourishing food and essential resources during our a community event in Dallas. This impactful day was made possible through the incredible dedication of our partners at Walmart, The Smart Project Program, Cross Roads Dallas and our many selfless volunteers.
In 2023, the Pete & Thomas Foundation supported two community organizations. We supported the Bread of Life Houston’s annual Thanksgiving food and supply distribution to families in the Houston area! 13,000 individuals were able to eat due to the food distribution. Bread Of Life, Inc. is on a mission to change the lives of those living in the Houston community by providing food and shelter for those who are in desperate need.
In 2022, the Pete & Thomas Foundation supported residents at the Seton House SA for single mothers and Roy Maas Youth Alternatives who support foster care youth and surprised them with movie passes, spa gifts, and Thanksgiving meals. Both organizations provide wrap-around services from mental health resources to academic enrichment in the San Antonio community.
This Thanksgiving season, the Pete & Thomas Foundation proudly partnered with multiple organizations to give back to the Texas community. Through collaboration with Empower House in San Antonio we were able to support 40 families with turkeys and pantry food items. This effort supported women of color and their families, reinforcing the Foundation’s mission to uplift communities facing difficult circumstances.
In Houston, the Foundation worked with NACC Disaster Relief (an ongoing partner), God’s Grace Community Church, and Congressman Sylvester Turner to make a significant impact by distributing 1,000 turkeys and grocery boxes to local families. These partnerships demonstrate the Pete & Thomas Foundation’s dedication to fostering community care and spreading joy during the holiday season
